September 2016 marked the end of our sailing season. Time to return to the northern hemisphere. We left Nautilus moored in Bowen, Queensland, for seven months where some friends of ours looked after it. This period also happened to include Australia’s cyclone season and as luck would have it a massive tropical storm hit the Queensland coast at the end of March 2017. It was nerve-wracking to be on the other side of the earth not knowing if the boat would still be afloat when the storm had passed!
